HISTORY
1994:
We developed in Galicia our first communications infrastructure projects for public administrations, hospitals from Servizo Galego de Saúde and three universities.
1996:
We carry out our first R+D+i project: “Tariphone”. An intelligent traffic telephone router that configured the switchboard of our clients with the best phone plan of each moment and each operator.
1997:
We participated in the launch of the 061 service in Galicia by collaborating in the design of the communications plan.
1998:
We developed our first security project for the Spanish Navy and we are the first to design a solution to connect the different networks within the “Galicia” and “Castilla” vessels for logistic support.
1999:
Design, development and deployment of the infrastructure of the Galician cable operator “R”.
2000:
Moved by the appearance of new technological advances we are oriented to the implementation of multiservice IP networks, to provide our clients with greater efficiency.
2002:
We launched the catalogue of services “Emetel Secure”, a first portfolio of information security solutions and services.
2005:
We innovate with cloud solutions and launch “Emetic”, an ICT as a service solution for all the information, communication and security needs of SMEs.
2010:
We develop state-of-the-art technology, advanced monitoring and IoT. This year we launch “Emetel Insight”, a monitoring platform based on open source solutions.
2012:
We start to change to a technological consultancy firm, which implies a restructuring of our business areas.
2013:
We start the development of “Smart Monitor”, an evolution of our product “Emetel Insight”. Incorporating big data technology and artificial intelligence, this is a product of our own, developed from the ground and enhanced by the help of the Center for Industrial Technological Development -CDTI- (belonging, then, to the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness).
2015:
We became pioneers in implementing smart port projects in Spain (A Coruña and Vigo). Our product “Emetel Insight” evolves and develops until it becomes “Ágata”. Emetel’s R+D department extends to a new company: Ágata Technology.
2016:
We launch the first Security Operations Center -SOC- of Galicia.
